My Mom and Oma taught me how to crochet when I was a little girl. Over the years I made mostly blankets. One day I was shopping for some wool, and I came across Cleckheaton Australian Superfine Merino wool. Oh my, it was so soft! Priced on the high side... yes, I bought two balls. A hat, more like a beanie, that would fit over my hair since I grow my hair long to donate.
I gave my beanie away to my visiting cousin from overseas and I had to make myself another one.
As I am making more beanies I am getting feedback from those people I gifted one. That is when I confirmed that this wool was really special. I love the feel of this yarn when I crochet a beanie. So this is a labor of love!
